Dr. Sarah Abou Alaiwi receives the Women As One Mentorship Award!

We are proud to congratulate Dr. Sarah Abou Alaiwi, Cardiology Fellow at the CarDS Lab on receiving the 2026 Women as One Mentorship Award!

Her work focuses on sex-specific differences in ATTR-CM in women, better understanding how female patients engage with the health care system, and using AI models trained with female datasets.

The Women as One Mentorship Award supports women in medicine through funding, mentorship, and professional connections, with the goal of advancing equity in healthcare and addressing disparities in cardiovascular care.
