Daniel Johnson

Trainee (IM Resident)

Daniel Johnson is currently a first-year internal medicine resident at Yale. He graduated from Carleton College with a B.A. in Biology and earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago. His research at the University of Chicago focused on medical ethics and the heart transplant system. During medical school, he studied medical ethics in Europe through a Fellowship at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics, and he conducted cardiology and health policy research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center through the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Fellowship.

In the CarDS Lab, Daniel is eager to study the nexus of artificial intelligence and cardiology to advance personalized treatments for cardiovascular disease. Outside of residency and research, Daniel enjoys cooking, baking, and playing pickleball.
